Moroccan cooking

Moroccan food is really good, even when you taste is "every day simple" version. The taste of the products, grown in the nearby gardens or bought to local producers in the souk is enhanced by elaborate mixes of spices, not too strong but savourous.

That's what you can taste in Palais des Dunes.

Moroccan or european breakfast with tea (and a choice between green and black tea) or coffee, orange juice, bread or msamen (a kind of pancake, a delicious kind), butter, cheese, marmelade... and if you really fancy the moroccan way of eating, a small cup of olive oil, delicious with morrocan bread dipped in.

Meals have a starter, a main course and a dessert. The starter can be a moroccan salad, or, for example a soup, for the winter evenings. The main course will be a tajine, or grilled meat, these delicious skewers grilled over charcoal, or a Berber omelette. As dessert, most often, fresh fruits.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room. A lunch or a dinner costs 80 dirhams (drinks are not included).

Special evening

And why not treat yourself with a special event, and enjoy a true moroccan party, with a lamb roasted during hours in an earth oven, and a folkloric band of the area of Merzouga ?

Price per person will vary, based on the size of the group, as meschwi is always a whole animal. It is possible to use young goats instead of mutton, they have less fat, and their taste is softer.

As an exemple, for 16 attendants, a dinner with meshwi, coucous, a soup as starter, green tea and pastry costs 320 dirham per person.

You can also have a band, with gnawas and Berber drums. It costs 1.500 dirhams for a night
